Learning to Love My Cat-like Classmate

The story follows Minato Seno, an incredibly shy and socially anxious high school freshman. Early in the semester, his teacher gives him a special mission: look after Nekozane-san, the quiet girl in the seat next to him who does nothing but sleep through class.

Seno is too nervous to even speak to her, but a chance encounter at a local cat shelter reveals a completely different side of Nekozane. While she is "cat-like"—aloof, sleepy, and hard to read at school—she is passionately obsessed with cats and surprisingly warm when she isn't napping. The series follows their "unconscious" romantic comedy as they bond over their shared love for felines and slowly learn how to communicate with each other.
