The Devil Never Cries

Set in the year 3089, the story begins with Earth on the brink of total annihilation following a demonic invasion. Humanity's final hope, the "Soldier King" Altair, leads a desperate resistance. Humans in this era survive by using Grafting Technology—literally sewing demonic parts onto their bodies to gain superhuman strength. Altair, the most powerful of these "Grafters," successfully defeats the demon army but dies in the process.

To his shock, Altair awakens 60 years in the future. He has regressed/reincarnated into the body of a weak, bullied cadet who happens to share his name. The world has changed; the war is "over," but a new, more insidious demonic threat is brewing from within.
