Soul Land II follows Huo Yuhao, a young boy born into the prestigious Duke’s Mansion but treated as an outcast due to his "weak" Spirit Eyes martial soul. After the death of his mother, he leaves home to forge his own path. His destiny changes when he encounters a million-year-old spirit beast, the Daydream Ice Worm, which becomes his first Spirit Ring and grants him unprecedented mental powers.

Yuhao eventually joins the legendary Shrek Academy and the now-declining Tang Sect. Unlike the era of Tang San, this world is now dominated by Spirit Tools—advanced technology powered by spiritual energy. As a member of the new "Shrek Seven Monsters," Yuhao must master the fusion of traditional soul cultivation and modern spirit engineering to restore the Tang Sect to its former glory and stop the rising threat of the Sun Moon Empire.
