The story follows Kim Suho, a civil engineering student who wakes up in the body of Lloyd Frontera, a spoiled, alcoholic noble whose family is drowning in debt. In the original novel Suho was reading, Lloyd’s family was destined for ruin.

Armed with a professional degree in civil engineering and a "System" that rewards him for successful construction projects, Suho (as Lloyd) sets out to save the Frontera barony. Unlike noble heroes who seek glory, Lloyd is driven by a singular, desperate goal: to retire early and live a life of luxury. To get there, he introduces modern floor heating (Ondol), builds massive bridges, and manages sewage systems—all while making the most "diabolical" faces ever drawn in a manhwa. Alongside his loyal, handsome, and perpetually exhausted knight, Javier Asrahan, Lloyd builds an empire, one brick at a time.
